"Ethan wanted chips at lunch yesterday. I told him that he needed to eat his cheese first. There were four pieces of cheese left on his plate. He picked up one and said, 'I'll eat just one,' to which I replied, 'you need to eat four.'"He took the piece he was holding and broke it into four pieces and counted each piece as he ate them, 'one, two, three, four!'
"Then he looked at me, grinned and said, 'Eat chips now!'
"I thought to myself, 'You're two years old. Are you serious, child?'
"Two year olds are not supposed to know how to do that.
"I found it quite insane."
