Ethan's First Friend

April 10, 2008

Ethan meet Colby, Colby meet Ethan
 It's okay, don't be shy...
Awwwww!  Colby's mom Heather was probably my first friend in Washington too.  They lived around the corner from us and we had many enjoyable play dates together.
(Oh yes, and new shoes while still wearing pjs is fun too!)

A Walk and A Loving Brother

April 10, 2008

Madeline in the front pack and Ethan in the wagon - ready for a fun walk with Dad!
"I am just so grateful for the wonderful husband that I have.  I know I couldn't do it without him.  He is the greatest support to me.  He is the best father and does so much for our kids."
Loving his sister even when she cries.  Especially happy when she doesn't!
"Madeline still screams a lot.  Not as much, but still a lot.  I still have her in the front pack every day, but it's probably only about three hours a day now…she now has times each day when she is awake and not crying.  Those moments are nice."

Ethan

April 4, 2008
"Ethan wanted chips at lunch yesterday.  I told him that he needed to eat his cheese first.  There were four pieces of cheese left on his plate.  He picked up one and said, 'I'll eat just one,' to which I replied, 'you need to eat four.'
"He took the piece he was holding and broke it into four pieces and counted each piece as he ate them, 'one, two, three, four!'
"Then he looked at me, grinned and said, 'Eat chips now!'
"I thought to myself, 'You're two years old.  Are you serious, child?'
"Two year olds are not supposed to know how to do that.
 "I found it quite insane."
